How it Works
Give me the really high level overview.
Sure, it's pretty simple. You just need to give us some information about the people you
send cards to and the events that you want to send cards for. A few weeks before each
event, we review the information you've provided and select three cards that reflect
the preferences of the person getting the card.
For example, if your 7 year old niece's birthday is coming up, we give you recommendations
for cards that are popular with 7 year old girls right now. If you tell us she loves horses,
we'll make sure to throw in a couple of options that reflect that preference.
We'll send our recommendations to you via email. Just tell us which one you like best.
At this point, you can also choose a gift card to include with the greeting card.
(We have access to dozens including Home Depot, Target, Walmart, Applebee's, Best Buy,
iTunes, etc.)
From there, you have a couple great options: we can either send the card right to the
recipient with a personalized message, or we can send it to you so you can sign it
before giving it to them. (If you pick that option, we'll also include an addressed,
stamped envelope to make it easy to send it to the recipient.)
Ok... sounds cool, but I need a little more detail...
When will you send me the recommendations?
Depends on whether you want the card sent to you, or sent directly to the recipient.
If you want the card sent to you first, we'll send you our recommendations three weeks
before the event. This gives you a week to respond to our email, a week for the card
to get to you, and another week for the card to get from you to the recipient.
If you want the card sent directly to the recipient, we'll send you the recommendations
two weeks before the event. This gives you one week to respond to the email and one
week for the card to get to the recipient.
If you send the card directly to the recipient, how do you get my message in the card?
If the card can be safely fed through a printer, we'll print the message right on the card.
If we can't print directly on the card, we'll print it on a separate piece of paper and glue
it into the card. We'll pick a type of paper that's appropriate to the card.
What kinds of cards can I pick?
We have access to a huge variety of cards from major name brand manufacturers such as
American Greetings and Sunrise. These are the exact same cards that you'd get from a
store like Target or CVS, or Duane Reed. We provide both standard cards and sound / music cards.
What if I don't like the card options you email to me?
If none of the cards are a good fit, you can respond to our email and let us know what's not working
for you. We'll pick out a few more options that are a better fit and get them over to you ASAP.
How do you choose the options you send to me?
There's a few keys to the success of our matching technology. First, we have very detailed data
on the attributes of our cards and use this data to match up with the information you've told us
about the recipients. We also keep track of any feedback you give us on our recommendations and
use that feedback to give you even better recommendations going forward. Lastly, we even monitor
what kinds of cards are popular with different demographics. So, if you have absolutely no idea
what kind of card a 9 year old boy likes, don't worry...We do!
What information do I need to provide to get everything ready to go?
Well, it's really up to you. The more information you provide, the better the matches we can
give you. At the bare minimum, we just need names, addresses, and ages. But, if you want to
get better matches, we'll ask for more detailed information such as hobbies, occupation,
favorite movies, etc.
Oh yeah... How much does it cost?
Peanuts! Well, not literally peanuts...but it'll sure seem like it compared to all the
time you'd normally blow picking out a card at the store!
We offer two styles of cards: Standard and Premium. Standard are your basic run-of-the-mill
cards (name brand but not overly fancy). Premium cards include cards with music, sound,
lace doilies, gold foil, or any of that fancy stuff. Our service is $6.99 with a Standard
card, and $9.99 with a Premium card. You only pay AFTER you get our recommendation and
actually pick a specific card to be mailed. There's no cost to join, set up your events,
or get our email reminders and recommendations!
